Sam Wilcox

Sam is an award-winning editorial and content strategist with a career spanning national newspapers, women’s magazines and large-scale branded content. She has held senior editorial roles across print and digital, including Creative Editorial Director at Reach plc, where she led high-profile video, audio and written campaigns for major brands such as Boots, Co-op Funeralcare and Camelot. Her work has been recognised with multiple Media Week, Campaign and Branded Content awards.

Earlier in her career, Sam worked in health and lifestyle journalism and senior magazine editing roles, and played a key role in launching digital platforms that built strong, engaged audiences through thoughtful, story-led content.

In 2024, Sam founded Purpose Comms, bringing together her journalistic craft and creative leadership to support organisations in telling clear, authentic and emotionally intelligent stories. Her work is rooted in the belief that lived experience, clarity and empathy are essential to meaningful communication, values that align closely with the mission of the National House Project.
