At NHP, we understand the importance of privacy in relation to your data. This Privacy Statement outlines what we do with your data and how we keep it safe. We are committed to respecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. Any personal information that we collect about you in processed following data protection law, known as the Data Protection Act 2018.

What is personal data?

Any information that could be used to identify you. The below table provides further information about the data that NHP hold about you. This data is provided by your Local House Project when you secure your place on the House Project.

 

Data collected for young people in LHP's
  • Name, Date of birth, Address, Email
  • Photographs and films
  • Ethnicity, Gender, Health/disability information, and whether you identify as being a part of the LGBTQ+ community
  • Care information (including your legal status and placement type) and key dates including when your joined your House Project.

Sharing your personal information

The data law requires us to protect your data and only use it for the reason it was given. Everyone at NHP is trained in data protection which means that we know how to keep your information safe. We don’t share it unless you tell us we can (unless we are really worried about you), and we will always store it securely. We provide detailed information how we keep the personal data safe in our other ‘Privacy Policy’ – it is a bit longer than this one

Your Rights

We have security measures to protect your personal data safe and we keep reviewing this. You have the right to access, review, update, and request the deletion of your personal information held by us. If you would like to do this, please contact us using the provided contact information below. We will respond to your request within 14 days. We keep your personal information until you turn 25 at which point it is automatically anonymised. If you join a local House Project but choose not to continue, or if your House Project does not continue, your data will be anonymised immediately. Any copies of your completed HPP Portfolio will be sent to your local authority who will ensure that this is sent to you and saved as part of your social care records.
